The 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj has seen an extraordinary turnout of devotees and prominent visitors.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that 62 crore pilgrims have participated in the event so far. The Maha Kumbh Mela, held once every 144 years, is the world’s largest religious gathering, drawing millions who seek spiritual renewal through a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers converge.
This year’s Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj has not only been marked by an unprecedented influx of devotees but has also attracted a notable array of celebrities and dignitaries who have taken part in the sacred ritual of a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. Businessmen Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, Bollywood stars such as Anupam Kher, Rajkummar Rao, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Vicky Kaushal, or international celebrities like Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson, have all taken a dip.
