In a recent conversation with SCREEN, Head Chef Stefan Gadit lifted the lid on the restaurant’s behind-the-scenes charm, including the Khan family’s favorite dishes, Gauri’s hands-on involvement, and the luxe privacy features that make Torii a true Bollywood favourite.Chef Stefan shared that Shah Rukh Khan’s youngest son, AbRam, is a big fan of Torii’s sushi and often places orders from home. Suhana Khan has visited the restaurant with friends, while Aryan Khan also drops by. Stefan recalled that SRK, usually accompanied by Gauri and the family, has visited multiple times and especially enjoys the lamb chops. The Khans even celebrated manager Pooja Dadlani’s anniversary at the restaurant, making Torii a go-to spot for their private gatherings.He further mentioned that Aryan has visited Torii a few times, usually later in the evening, though he’s unsure of Aryan’s specific food preferences. He also clarified that the restaurant’s secret doorway is a privilege reserved for only a select few celebrities—primarily the Khans—ensuring their privacy during visits.Stefan revealed that Gauri is actively involved in Torii’s daily operations, often offering feedback when needed. He praised the strong understanding between her and the management. He also shared a fun anecdote about including her favorite dish—Thai curry—on the menu, despite initial hesitation. “It’s her favorite, so we have it. The dish is dedicated to her,” he said.
