Cube Entertainment has decisively put to rest swirling speculations of a romantic entanglement between (G)I-DLE’s Shuhua and Taiwanese actor Ko Chen Tung. The controversy ignited when Shuhua recently posted several personal photos on her Instagram, accompanied by a playful caption “Hey~ I love you”. This innocuous phrase prompted a response from Ko Chen Tung in the comments section, where he replied with a smiling emoji, sparking a flurry of conjecture among netizens about a possible romantic link between the two.

Adding fuel to the fire, Shuhua had previously been seen attending Ko Chen Tung’s birthday celebration during a private trip to Taiwan last June, further fanning the flames of speculation surrounding their relationship.

However, any hope of romantic intrigue was swiftly dashed when the comment exchange in question was subsequently deleted.Addressing the escalating rumors head-on, Cube Entertainment stepped in on July 18 to firmly dispel the notion, asserting, “The dating rumors between Shuhua and Ko Chen Tung are groundless”, as quoted by Soompi. The agency’s swift and categorical denial aimed to quell any ongoing speculation, reaffirming Shuhua’s focus on her current activities. Presently, Shuhua remains fully engaged in promoting (G)I-DLE’s latest mini album, ‘I SWAY’, and its title track, ‘Klaxon’.
