Gonda train accident: 4 more trains cancelled, 4 diverted | Lucknow News

GORAKHPUR: The Barabanki-Gorakhpur railway section of North Eastern Railway experienced a disruption in rail traffic due to the derailment of 15904 Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express on Thursday.
The incident occurred on the down line between Motiganj and Jhilahi stations, around 19km from Gonda station. Over 800 officers and employees are working tirelessly to restore the affected section.
The up line was made operational with diesel fitment at 23.58 hrs on July 18, 2024.Currently, a block has been imposed on this line to facilitate the movement of relief materials and carry out restoration work on the down line. The up line is expected to be fitted with the power line soon, followed by the restoration of the down line.
As a consequence of this incident, several trains will be cancelled or diverted. The following trains will be cancelled:
– 04260 Ayodhya Dham-Mankapur special train scheduled to run from Ayodhya Dham on July 19, 2024.
– 04257 Mankapur-Ayodhya Dham special train scheduled to run from Mankapur on July 19, 2024.
– 04258 Ayodhya Dham-Mankapur special train scheduled to run from Ayodhya Dham on July 19, 2024.
– 04241 Mankapur-Ayodhya Dham special train scheduled to run from Mankapur on July 19, 2024.
The following trains will be diverted:
– 15097 Bhagalpur-Jammutvi Express, which departed from Bhagalpur on July 18, 2024, will be diverted via
Mankapur-Ayodhya Dham-Barabanki route.
– 12565 Darbhanga-New Delhi Express, scheduled to run from Darbhanga on July 19, 2024, will be diverted via
Mankapur-Ayodhya Dham-Barabanki route.
– 12512 Kochuveli-Gorakhpur Express, which departed from Kochuveli on July 17, 2024, is being diverted via Aishbagh-Barabanki-Ayodhya Dham-Mankapur route.
