Yo Yo Honey Singh has once again opened up about his long battle with drug addiction, urging youngsters to stay far away from substances that nearly destroyed his life. The rapper, who has slowly returned to the spotlight after years of struggle, shared a heartfelt message in a recent interview.

‘Drugs damage you slowly, and you don’t even realize it’

Reflecting on the lowest phase of his life, Honey Singh told NDTV, “It caused me a lot of harm, and today I tell all my younger brothers and sisters that they should especially stay away from drugs because they damage you so much. Slowly, and you don’t even realize it. I quit drugs around 2014 when I was diagnosed and told that I was ill. But even then, it still took me 8 years to recover. It just wouldn’t leave my system. And I never want anyone, not even an enemy, to go through what I went through.Singh’s candid admission comes at a time when he has begun rebuilding both his career and his personal life after a prolonged absence from the music industry.During the conversation, Singh was also asked about the rap he wrote the fastest. He revealed, “High Mera Dil — I wrote it in 5 or 6 minutes, no flow created. Just delivered whatever came. Even today, when we perform it, people connect instantly.”
