One of Bollywood’s famous couples, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar, remain fan favorites. Yami impressed the audience with her acting skills throughout the year and December saw Aditya’s ‘Dhurandhar’ soar at the box office. Yami has since offered a striking opinion on the film.
Yami Gautam’s script thrill
Prior to the start of production on the Ranveer film, Yami expressed her excitement as an actress about being involved in “Dhurandhar.” During her conversation with News18, she stated, “When I read his next script, I told him it was one of those special moments when I wished I were a boy. The script is amazing. It’s a wonderful world. However, he (Aditya) immediately added that he keeps his personal and professional lives separate. Still, I don’t have any such expectations. We respect that professional line. I don’t think that line should be blurred. We are very clear about that.”
Respecting boundaries
Yami added, “If he feels someone else would be a better fit for the role he’s writing, I have no problem with that. That understanding was there from the beginning.” Interestingly, Aditya acknowledges her in the ‘Dhurandhar’ credits with a special thanks.
Record-breaking success
‘Dhurandhar’ has now claimed the title of Bollywood’s highest-grossing film. Reportedly, the movie raked in over ₹11 billion worldwide in just 24 days. Alongside Ranveer Singh, it features a stellar cast including Sara Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and R. Madhavan.
