CM Punk on the possible WWE return of his wife
In a recent interview with Ringside Collectibles, CM Punk discussed the possibility of his wife AJ Lee making a return. “I’m the wrong guy to ask about that,” Punk said when the topic came up. “I know there’s a lot out there about that. But I’m certainly not pushing her to do anything, I think she knows that there’s options, I think she sees how happy I am and how things are different.” Punk continued to say that should that discussion ultimately be held, it would be between her and the appropriate parties and not one he would want to be part of. Although he admitted with a laugh, “Selfishly, yes. I would love to make out with my wife on television again.”
AJ Lee is currently out of the media spotlight and is focusing on her career as a writer. While fans eagerly anticipate her return to WWE, it won’t be happening anytime soon. However, there have been rumors suggesting she might make a comeback during CM Punk’s match against Drew McIntyre.
CM Punk is set to face his long-time rival, Drew McIntyre, at SummerSlam in a Special Guest Referee match. The Special Guest Referee will be former World Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Last week on Raw, General Manager Adam Pearce announced that CM Punk is medically cleared and will face The Scottish Warrior at SummerSlam. Due to the ongoing conflict between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, Pearce decided to make the match a Special Guest Referee Match to avoid putting referees at risk.
