Ishita Dutta recently revealed that both she and her son Vaayu were hospitalised, shedding light on the real reason behind her sudden weight loss that had sparked public speculation. She shared a photo from the hospital showing her and her son’s hands with IV lines, along with an emotional message. Check out the post here:

She wrote, “It’s been a really tough month…. At a time when I was supposed to be with my newborn, I was making hospital rounds instead. Thankfully, both Vaayu and I are much better now. A lot of you have been asking me about my weight loss – it wasn’t deliberate, just a result of being unwell.”
Postpartum recovery
Ishita and Vatsal were overjoyed to welcome their second child, daughter Veda. However, what caught widespread attention was Ishita’s dramatic postpartum weight loss. In an earlier conversation with ETimes TV, the actress revealed that her transformation took just 22 days. She credited her disciplined routine, which included a clean, home-cooked diet with no sugar or junk food, plenty of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and soups, along with small, frequent meals. She also highlighted that breastfeeding played a significant role in helping her shed calories quickly.
Postpartum depression
In an earlier YouTube vlog, the actress opened up about her experience with postpartum depression following the birth of her first child, Vaayu. She shared how challenging that phase was, emphasizing that such emotional struggles are very real and not just exaggerated reactions by new mothers. Ishita recalled often crying for hours without understanding why, highlighting the emotional toll postpartum depression can take—even when everything seems fine on the surface.
