The sudden loss occurred during a friend’s mehendi ceremony in Nitte, Karkala taluk, Udupi district, when Rakesh collapsed due to a heart attack. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors were unable to save him.Rakesh first rose to fame as the winner of the reality show ‘Comedy Khiladigalu’ Season 3 in 2020, after being a runner-up in Season 2. Before television, he performed with the Chaitanya Kalavidaru theatre group and appeared in Tulu and Kannada films such as ‘Pailwaan’, ‘Idu Entha Lokavayya’, ‘Petkammi’, and ‘Ammer Police’.
