Actor Kartik Aaryan is receiving much appreciation for his role once again in his recently released film ‘Chandu Champion’. In the film, Kartik portrayed the role of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medallist. After several celebrities praised Kartik’s performance in the film, filmmaker Karan Johar took to his social media to say that ‘Chandu Champion’ is a must-watch.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Karan Johar shared a poster of ‘Chandu Champion’ featuring Kartik Aaryan. He reviewed the film and penned, “Solid… Sincere… Supreme… @kabirkhankk directs this brave and inspiring life tale like a love letter to the human spirit!”

Kartik Aaryan and ace filmmaker Kabir Khan worked together for the first time in ‘Chandu Champion’. The biographical drama film is based on the life of India’s first Paralympic champion Murlikant Petkar who represented India at the Olympic Games. One may experience the hardships of his path as a boxer in the Indian Army and subsequently as a Paralympian swimmer in India by watching this film.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film also features Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, Shreyas Talpade, Sonali Kulkarni and many others in pivotal roles. The film hit the big screens on June 14 and is currently running in theatres.
