Why Laalo still matters
Even in its later days, Laalo remains an important film for the industry. Very few Gujarati films manage to run successfully for over two months. In an earlier chat with ETimes, actress Reeva Rachh spoke about her first reaction to the script. She said, “When I first read the script, I felt, ‘Okay, we have something interesting here.’” Talking about her character Tulsi, she added, “There were references provided for Tulsi’s part—the interval sequence and other key moments, so I could visualise how it might look. It really got my acting nerves excited to hop on.”Reeva also shared her feelings about the team and director Ankit Sakhiya. “Even though I hadn’t met Ankit bhai or the team yet, I could feel the passion through the script, and that energy translated beautifully,” she said. Laalo stars Reeva Rachh, Anshu Joshi, Shruhad Goswami, Karan Joshi, and Kinnal Nayak.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
