Director Ankit Sakhiya drops revelation about the famed dialogue

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Sakhiya recently shared the emotional moment where Laalo looks at Krishna and asks, “Will you be my friend?” was fully improvised. “That dialogue was improvised. Truly. It wasn’t written in the script,” Sakhiya said. The scene came together naturally during the shoot. No one planned it. No one forced it. It simply happened in the moment and later became the heart of the film for many viewers.Ankit Sakhiya explained that during that scene, the actors were only told to respond honestly. There was no written line and no clear instruction. The idea was not to show faith in a loud way. It was about feeling it. The actors followed their instinct and let the moment flow. Sakhiya also said the theatre background of actors Karan Joshi and Shruhad Goswami helped a lot. They trusted the silence, the emotion, and the connection instead of trying to create a dramatic effect. This made Krishna feel less like a distant god and more like a close friend.
