A German woman, ‘A’, has released an interview detailing her alleged involvement with actor Lee Yi Kyung. She claims they were in contact for 1.5 years, initially messaging him after watching his dramas. ‘A’ explained her changing statements, citing advice from an acquaintance and a fear of other victims not receiving justice.

Actor Lee Yi Kyung has been at the forefront of news articles due to the ongoing case regarding his personal messages scandal. An allegedly German woman posted a series of screenshots of messages as well as a blog, claiming that they were from the ‘Marry My Husband’ actor. Over the past month, the woman has changed her statement on multiple occasions. Now, in a recent turn of events, she has released an official interview online discussing her claims.

On November 26, a video was posted on the controversial YouTuber Lee Jin Ho’s account where he held an interview with the woman involved in the case. The woman, who has been named as ‘A’, shared a timeline of events and talked about how she had sent a message to the actor in February 2024. She shared that she had been watching his dramas and had messaged him out of the blue, not expecting that the star would respond.“I did not expect him to reply. He asked if I was really German and requested a selfie, so I sent one,” she added. It was revealed that the two had been in contact for the past one and a half years.She also explained her recurring statement changes as well. Talking about the matter, she revealed that one of her acquaintances, who was also Korean, had shared with her that if she claimed it was AI, the entire situation would calm down in a week or two.She later retracted her apology and came forward with the alleged truth, as she was afraid that another victim could come forward and would be treated similarly and not get justice. It was also revealed that in May, she had emailed the official ID of Yi Kyung’s company as well. At the time, she had felt that the messages were too explicit and strange, and had wondered whether he had been hacked.

What had happened

On October 20, an anonymous woman, who claims to be German, took to her social media accounts in order to share a blog as well as message screenshots. She made claims of how the messages were exchanged with Lee Yi Kyung. After the post went viral, the actor faced a lot of backlash and even had to step away from certain projects as well. He later filed a complaint against her, following which, the woman changed her statements on multiple occasions. Initially, she claimed that she shared false information and that the screenshots were fabricated using AI technology. Later, she posted a cryptic comment on her account about whether she should reveal more evidence or not. She later claimed that it was all false, but then stated how she was being threatened by third-party people (while clarifying that the actor was not involved). This was followed by her deleting her social media handles.Recently, the court had ordered a search and seizure warrant of two of the woman’s accounts in order to gain access to log data and IP addresses.
