Disney has unveiled the official teaser trailer for its live-action reimagining of its 2002 animated classic ‘Lilo & Stitch’ and it is as cute as fans would imagine it to be.
Everyone’s favourite blue alien from outer space is back and at his destructive best as he stops his way through sand castles on Hawain beach. In the newly released teaser, the film is described as a ‘wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.’
Directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Dean Fleischer Camp, the live-action introduces young talent Maia Kealoha as Lilo along with an impressive cast, including Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis.

While the makers previously revealed stills of the blue alien in his live-action form, this is the first time that fans are seeing him in action.

‘Lilo & Stitch’ promises to bring the same charm, emotion and comedy that made the original a fan favourite. Queue in Elvis’ biggest hits for this heart-touching story that sees the little girl and her adopted alien embark on a journey of healing, mischief, music and learning the true meaning of ‘Ohana’.
‘Lilo & Stitch’ is set to land in cinemas on May 23, 2025.
