Liquidnitro Games raises $19.1 million, led by Northpoint

BENGALURU: Liquidnitro Games has raised $19.1 million in a Series A funding round led by Northpoint Capital, with participation from existing investor Nexus Venture Partners, as the game production and live services company looks to scale its AI-enabled development operations and expand globally. The company said the capital will be used to accelerate investment in its proprietary AI-powered game production and live services platform, scale co-investment partnerships with publishers, and support global market expansion.“By combining over a decade of experience running some of the world’s biggest franchises, deep investments in our proprietary AI-powered platform, and capital we can deploy alongside partners, we’ve built a uniquely compelling value proposition for publishers navigating an increasingly challenging market,” said Sandeep Kowdley, CEO of Liquidnitro. The Hyderabad-based startup works with global game publishers to build, operate and scale games across platforms and geographies. The company follows an operating model that combines AI-driven production and live services with aligned capital deployment, where it invests its own capital alongside publishing partners.“Live services has followed the same formula for years, and we’re here to disrupt,” said Arun Kunchala, chief product officer at Liquidnitro. “We’ve been obsessively building our platform to power the next generation of games, unlocking deeper, richer and more personalized experiences that players want to come back to.”Liquidnitro said it has partnered with multiple global publishers in its first 24 months of operations, supporting the development and live operations of large-scale games across platforms and markets. The company did not disclose partner names.“Liquidnitro is quietly becoming the go-to AI-powered production, live services and TAM expansion partner for the world’s leading game publishers,” said Sameer Brij Verma, founder and CIO of Northpoint Capital. “Their ability to combine AI-driven live ops, deep P&L ownership and aligned capital is creating a powerful new operating model for the industry.” Prior to founding the solo partner fund, Verma was managing director and general partner at Nexus Venture Partners.Early backer Nexus Venture Partners said it has supported the company since inception. “Having watched this team execute since concept stage, it’s clear they are building a category-defining company,” said Pratik Poddar, partner at Nexus Venture Partners.Following the funding, Liquidnitro said it will expand investment across its AI platform and operating footprint, with a focus on growth markets including India, the Middle East and North Africa, and Southeast Asia.
