LUCKNOW: A wedding celebration at Ramadhin Inter College took a violent turn on Monday evening when a clash erupted between a group of students and the wedding party. The incident involved stone-pelting and the alleged use of crude bombs, prompting a swift police response to restore order.
According to Dilesh Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Hasanganj, the trouble began when some students reportedly gatecrashed the wedding to partake in the feast. “When the family members objected, the students turned aggressive,” Kumar stated.
The initial confrontation was reportedly resolved, and the men were sent away. However, a group of boys allegedly returned through another entrance and caused further chaos. “The situation was brought under control, and peace was restored at the site,” the SHO added.
Police have launched an investigation to identify the miscreants, who are said to be students of Lucknow University. Further action will be taken once their identities are confirmed.
