THANE: On Thursday, an unfortunate incident occurred in the Diva area of Thane district, where a man and a woman sustained injuries due to the collapse of the ceiling plaster in a room of their house.
The Thane Municipal Corporation reported that the incident took place at approximately 4:30 am in a house situated in Shriganesh Chawl, Diva. It has been noted that the building is quite old, having been constructed several years ago.
The residents of the building were asleep when the plaster on the ceiling unexpectedly fell, catching them off guard.
“35-year-old Sharmila Santosh Shinde and 41-year-old Santosh Shinde were injured and have been admitted to a government hospital in Kalwa, where they are undergoing treatment,” the official said. The current condition of the two injured individuals is yet to be disclosed, and further updates are anticipated.
