Malaika Arora reveals she is a little tough on her son Arhaan Khan: ‘It is important to me that he…’

Malaika Arora is a devoted mother to Arhaan Khan, whom she co-parents with her ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan. The Bollywood star and her kid have a strong relationship, and they are often seen hanging out for lunch or taking trips together. Malaika recently opened up about her bond with Arhaan and revealed how close she is to him.
During a conversation with GlobalSpa Magazine, Malaika Arora shared, “As a mom, I am a bit strict, but also my son’s close friend.It is important to me that he feels comfortable coming to me with anything, never thinking, ‘I cannot tell my mom this.’ Instead, I want him to feel, ‘I need to tell my mom.’”
The relationship between Malaika Arora and Arhaan Khan was also visible on Malaika’s show, ‘Moving in with Malaika’. To rekindle their bond, the two frequently go on family vacations. Apart from Malaika, Arhaan is also close to Malaika’s sister Amrita Arora. He also keeps up a good relationship with his father Arbaaz Khan and his family.
In 1998, Malaika and Arbaaz Khan tied the knot, and in 2002, they welcomed their son Arhaan. After parting ways in 2017, the two have been co-parenting Arhaan ever since. Malaika said earlier in an interview with Hello Magazine that co-parenting their son was “tricky” at first, but that they have since found a balance. She said, “For what it’s worth, touch wood, we’ve finally struck a good balance. Initially, it was a little tricky. And rightly so, because that’s how life is. We both realized that whatever happens between two adults, it should never be reflected on a child—and we have found a really friendly style of co-parenting.”
Malaika reportedly broke up with Arjun Kapoor after a few years of dating, while Arbaaz is currently married to Sshura Khan. Meanwhile, Arhaan recently started his podcast and launched his venture Dumb Biryani, along with some friends. The podcast is no longer available, though.
