The Coincidence of Two Rajs
Bedi recalled about the unique timing when both Raj Kaushal and Shah Rukh Khan’s character Raj became part of her life. She told Yuvaa, “Shah Rukh Khan knew Raj and he would often ask, ‘Which Raj came first?’ I just started seeing Raj when Shanti had started and Dilwale had started around the same time so both the Raj’s came into my life around the same time.”
Meeting Raj Kaushal
The actress, who lost her husband in 2021, recalled about their first meeting. Bedi met Raj when she was just starting her career and was drawn to his positive energy and the way he treated her. After introducing him to her parents, they eventually got married in 1999 on Valentine’s Day.
Remembering Raj Kaushal
Filmmaker Raj Kaushal passed away on June 30, 2021, at the age of 50 due to a massive heart attack. The couple had two children, Vir and Tara. Mandira often remembers her late husband through heartfelt Instagram posts. On their 26th wedding anniversary this February 14, Mandira shared a touching tribute, writing, “We would have been married 26 years today… Miss you!”.
Raj was known for directing films like ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi‘ and producing ‘My Brother Nikhil’.
