The Malayalam classic ‘Manichithrathazhu’, directed by Fazil, featuring Suresh Gopi, Shobana, and Mohanlal in the lead roles is set for re-release on August 17. The makers of the film hosted a special preview for the cast, crew, and a few others ahead of the re-release. And guess what? The film’s return to the silver screen in the remastered 4K Dolby Atmos format has not only won the hearts of movie lovers but also left them nostalgic.
Scriptwriter and subtitler Vivek Ranjit went to the preview and shared, “#Manichitrathazhu 4K Atmos in P[XL]. What an experience to watch the special preview of a milestone film in Malayalam cinema, which has been an integral part of all our lives, remastered and re-released after 31 years. Even the tame, invited audience couldn’t help but erupt into laughter and applause at some of the most iconic scenes in the film. All of us went Ambada Kema, Sunny Kuttaa, together and that was just amazing. Now waiting to watch it with the public when it has the official release on August 17th.
