Shillong: A total of 25 young individuals from across 12 districts of Meghalaya were on a visit to Vietnam from Sept 29 to Oct 9 under the International Exposure Youth Programme as part of an initiative organised under the CM’s Youth Engagement Programme and the dept of sports and youth affairs.“The programme aimed to broaden the view of Meghalaya’s youth by allowing them to observe and learn from Vietnam’s history, cultural heritage, and development journey. The participants explored core historical and cultural places across cities, including Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, and Ho Chi Minh City. They were introduced to Vietnam’s hardships in war times, its tremendous change, and growth into a lively and developing nation. The delegation also took part in interactive sessions, cultural exchanges, and team-building activities to foster teamwork, which could help them contribute as change-makers in Meghalaya,” an official statement said on Thursday.
