INDORE: Acting on the zero-tolerance policy against drugs, Khajrana police arrested a minor with over 12.5 grams of MD drugs valued at more than Rs 1.25 lakh. The minor was nabbed during a patrolling operation in Scheme No. 134 near Sahil Grand building. On spotting the police, the accused tried to flee but was quickly surrounded and caught. A search led to the recovery of the banned synthetic drug from his possession.During preliminary questioning, the minor confessed to being addicted to drugs and said he had been buying the substance at lower prices and selling it at higher rates to fund his addiction and make quick money. The police have registered a case under the NDPS Act, crime number 558/25, and taken the minor into custody for further investigation.

Officials said they are now probing the supply chain and network linked to the juvenile and have obtained a police remand for further interrogation. More arrests are likely based on the information extracted from the minor. This action is part of a sustained crackdown on illegal narcotics in the city, said Additional DCP Amrendra Singh.The operation was carried out under the supervision of Khajrana police station in-charge Manoj Singh Sendhav.
