‘No more screen time’: Desi Lydic and Jimmy Kimmel roast Gregory Bovino’s recall in savage on-air dig |

Date:

Comedians Jimmy Kimmel and Desi Lydic mocked Gregory Bovino, Trump’s ‘Border Tsar,’ after his removal from Minneapolis anti-immigration operations and social media suspension. Bovino, who went viral for a coat described as having a ‘Nazi aesthetic,’ was reassigned to the US-Mexico border.

Popular Trump nemesis Jimmy Kimmel and comedian Desi Lydic took a savage dig at Trump’s ‘Border Tsar’ Gregory Bovino after he was withdrawn from anti-immigration operations in Minneapolis along with his access to X account being suspended. While most ICE agents have been executing their brutalities behind masks and jackets, Bovino recently went viral for his ‘Nazi aesthetic’ coat amidst chaos that has been compared to Nazi camps by the city governor Tim Walz himself.

Desi Lydic and Jimmy Kimmel’s dig at Bovino

Desi Lydic who hosts ‘The Daily Show’ said Bovino got “iced out” in part because he’s become “the face of the immigration crackdown, in that he’s the only one not hiding his face.”Bovino has been reassigned to the US-Mexico border, and Lydic couldn’t help but quip: “Man, do you know how badly you have to be at immigration enforcement that you get deported to Mexico?” “We’re not throwing you under the bus — we’re throwing you onto a bus, and sending it far, far away,” she added. Lydic also pointed out that the biggest sign that Trump had lost his trust in Bovino comes from the fact that his access to his social media accounts was revoked by the DHS. “This administration practically runs on s***posting, so there’s no greater punishment to them than telling someone to turn in your badge and your dank memes,” she said. “I can’t believe that ‘no more screen time’ works on both 8-year-olds and the head of a fascist death squad. Wow, technology is really powerful,” quipped the comedian.Addressing the withdrawal of Bovino from immigration raids, Kimmel also shared that he had been relocated to El Centro, a small town on the California border, where he is expected to retire soon. “The Department of Homeland Security also suspended his access to his own social media accounts. You know how bad things have to be for Donald Trump to take your social media away?” he said. Earlier, Bovino had been the commander-at-large of Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) leading the federal immigration enforcement effort in Minneapolis. He had gone viral for his photo-op patrol in the city sporting a buzzcut and a brass-buttoned, olive-green greatcoat that the German media described as having a ‘Nazi aesthetic’. However, after a larger uproar over the killing of another Minneapolis resident, Alex Pretti, the anti-ICE protests against the Trump administration led to his removal.
