Post the debacle of Hari Hara Veer Mallu, Pawan Kalyan was set for a huge comeback with Sujeeth’s They Call Him OG. A gangster drama that sees Pawan Kalyan locking horns with Emraan Hashmi who is making his debut in Telugu Cinema. At the point the overall North America advance booking has reached USD 2.11 million, the numbers could have been higher by at least USD 80,000 in the USA circuit as AMC which is one of the biggest cinema chains in the United States of America has removed the show for the non-delivery of the content. The bigger US chains are very particular about how the movie should be with them a couple of days before the release of the film, but till now only SS Rajamouli’s RRR has been the only film that was delivered well in advance. The delay in content will also lead to the screening of the film being affected in Canada where a cinema chain has already cancelled the booking leading to overall Canada collection dropping by USD 160,000. They Call Him OG has been facing delays since the start of the film, the film went on floors only in 2023 for it to release in 2025. In fact even the trailer of the film was delayed, it was due to release on the 21st morning which was supposed to follow with a grand pre- release event in Hyderabad. But the trailer didn’t get released on the appointed time , it was later announced that it will be released at the event. The trailer was shown to people present at the event but it hit the internet only the next day.
