Tommy Shelby is officially back! ‘Peaky Blinders’ star Cillian Murphy is making his return as his famed character on the hit series. This time around, however, the actor will be starring as Shelby in the upcoming film ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.’ The first teaser trailer for the upcoming film has been released on online platforms.
‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’
The hit 6-season TV show is back for more as the first trailer video for ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ dropped online on Christmas Eve. The video starts off with Tommy Shelby out and about in a forest, a graveyard, and a home. A voiceover ensues along with the video montage, saying, “Whatever happened to Tommy Shelby?”The background also has the phone ringing, with each ring showing a new scene on the screen. The first set of montages seems to be of bloody and violent fights in different places, and then shifts to a lot of men standing in a circle in what seems to be a warehouse, raising one of their hands to the air. The trailer continues as Tommy answers by saying, “I’m not that man anymore”, followed by more video montages of violent scenes, a warehouse on fire, and more. It also shows glimpses of other characters, including co-star Barry Keoghan in the film too.

The series ended with Tommy Shelby going into exile on his own account, taking a step back from the mobster life. The film will follow soon after with its events, and is set during World War 2 in Birmingham during the 1940s. The film follows along as the famed mobster is left to face some of his biggest fears, with a major decision to make at hand.Other than Cillian Murphy and Barry Keoghan, names such as Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, Jay Lycurgo, and Stephen Graham are all joining the official cast list. While talking to Tudum about returning to the franchise, Murphy stated that the character does not seem to be done with him. He further added, “It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.” The film will be released in select theatres on March 6, 2025, for a span of 2 weeks. Afterwards, it will officially be released on Netflix on March 20.
