Rosie Roche, a 20-year-old cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry, was found dead at her family home in Norton, Wiltshire, on July 14, reports on various news portals have confirmed. A firearm was recovered at the scene, prompting an investigation by local authorities.Rosie was the granddaughter of the late Princess Diana’s uncle, making her a second cousin to the royals. According to The Sun, the 20-year-old was reportedly packing for a holiday with friends when her body was discovered by her mother and sister. The circumstances of her death have shocked the family as there were reportedly no prior signs of distress.

Cause of Death

According to the report, Coroner Grant Davies stated that police have classified the death as “non-suspicious” and confirmed there was “no third-party involvement” in her death, thus ruling out foul play. Although unconfirmed, this has raised the possibility that Rosie may have taken her own life.An obituary published in The Yorkshire Post described her as the “darling daughter of Hugh and Pippa, incredible sister to Archie and Agatha, granddaughter to Derek and Rae Long.” Rosie was studying English Literature at Durham University and was said to have been looking forward to an upcoming trip with friends.

Tragic Hits Royals Again

Rosie’s tragic death comes just a year after Lady Gabriella Windsor’s husband, Thomas Kingston, died in February 2024 from a traumatic head wound. According to reports, a firearm was also found at the scene.

The family has requested privacy during this time and will hold a private funeral and memorial service. It is unclear with Prince William or Harry will attend the funeral.
