Priyanka Chopra may be in the country for her film shoot, but sadly for the star, she could not be by her brother Siddharth’s side on the festival of Raksha Bandhan. The actress, who has been seen globe-trotting with her daughter Malti, arrived in the country last week, and have since been keeping busy on the sets of SS Rajamouli’s next.
A Sweet Rakhi Gesture
While work kept her away from celebrating the festival with her brother, on Saturday, Priyanka made sure to send out a heartfelt note of love for him on social media.
Mannara ties Rakhi for Siddharth
Since Priyanka couldn’t be with her brother Siddharth this Raksha Bandhan, their cousin Mannara Chopra tied the rakhi on his hand and shared the photos for all to see.
Priyanka gets emotional
When Mannara shared a pic, Priyanka became rather emotional and re-shared the photo and wrote a heartfelt message that read, “Happy Rakshabandhan, Siddharth Chopra. Thank you, Mannara Chopra, for tying the rakhi on my behalf. Love you both.”
Shooting for SSMB29 in Hyderabad
Currently, she is in Hyderabad, filming her upcoming project ‘SSMB29’. The actress has been treating fans to cute behind-the-scenes glimpses featuring little Malti.Priyanka has been shooting for the Indian schedule of the film that also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
About ‘SSMB29’
While director SS Rajamouli has kept most details about ‘SSMB29’ a secret, it is known that the film will be an action-adventure drama inspired by the style of Indiana Jones. Rajamouli’s father, veteran writer Vijayendra Prasad, has confirmed this in multiple interviews.
Film’s new title
On the occasion of his leading man, Mahesh Babu’s birthday, Rajamouli revealed the title of his upcoming film with a post on his handle that read, “The First Reveal in November 2025… #GlobeTrotter.The poster featured a close-up shot of the actor’s chest, wearing a pendant featuring an idol of Lord Shiva’s trishul and his ox Nandi. It had “Globetrotter” written over it.The upcoming film, which was tentatively titled “SSMB29, will also mark the first collaboration between the actor and the filmmaker.
Next Project
Up next, Priyanka will be seen in ‘The Bluff’, directed by Frank E. Flowers. Set in the 19th-century Caribbean, the film follows a former female pirate who must protect her family and village from a violent attack, while facing the return of her mysterious past.
