The actress, in her exclusive conversation with us, not just reflected on how 2025 was the toughest year for her, but also shared how it made her stronger and gave her a new perspective on work and life.
Tania’s toughest year as a daughter
For the unversed, Punjabi actress ‘Tania,’ who rose to fame with her debut Pollywood film as lead ‘Sufna’, faced her worst nightmare in 2025. On July 4, 2025, two unknown assailants entered Tania’s father, Dr. Anil Jit Singh Kamboj’s clinic posing as patients and shot him from close range. He was rushed to the hospital immediately, and it was one of the most difficult times for the entire family. Reflecting on the same, Tania shared, “As a daughter, it was the toughest year to see my father in the hospital for straight 6 months.” She added that on the one hand, her projects were reaching the audience, and on the other, she was in the hospital with her father. “‘For a Reason,’ (her song with Karan Aujla) was career-defining. My work was released, but I was in the hospital with my father. I wasnt able to feel the moment of joy when projects came out,” she said.However, she saw the silver lining in the challenging times as well and added, “Thankfully, my team was handling social media. I would like to say that 2025 was full of learning, good projects, and lots of family values at the same time. Blessed I am, people gave so much love.”
Tania on resetting herself
The ‘Phaphey Kuttniyan’ actress further expressed, “As a person i became strong, and I felt god is very near to us all.”“To be honest, I am resetting myself to default and looking forward to the opportunities that are coming to me rather than being rigid about what I want. I have left everything on universe, I am just gonna give my 100% on whatever comes my way,” she concluded.
