Radhika Apte shares the experience of her first film
In a recent interview with the Indian Express, Radhika Apte shared the awful experience she had during the shooting of her first film, ‘Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!’ The actress blamed the producer for the same. She said, “The awful producers didn’t put me up, didn’t pay me. When my mother and I asked them to sign a contract, they said, ‘Arey, even Urmila Matondkar didn’t sign a contract. I don’t know if she signed or not, but they treated us horribly.“
The actress praised the director of the film, Mahesh Manjrekar. She said, “Mahesh Manjrekar was a great guy.”Radhika expressed that this was the reason she would “like to forget my film because the production was awful! And I say it out loud.”
Radhika Apte shares how she bagged the role in the film
In the same interview, Radhika Apte stated that she was doing a play named ‘Brain Surgeon’. She revealed that her team won an award in a state competition for the same. The actress said, “Mahesh Manjrekar was one of the judges. He called me after the play and said, ‘I want to cast you.'”
Life after her first film
Radhika Apte stated that she didn’t do any film after ‘Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!’ for a long time. She mentioned finishing college first and then going back to movies. The actress concluded, saying, “So, I don’t really count that as one of the films I did. But yeah, it’s been two decades.”
