Rajat Bedi, who recently impressed audiences as Jaraj Saxena in Aryan Khan’s debut series The Ba***ds of Bollywood, has addressed the long-standing rumours about his supposed fallout with Salman Khan. The speculation stemmed from Rajat’s earlier interview, where he mentioned that Salman had advised him against taking up a role in Radhe (2021). While the actor’s words were meant to reflect Salman’s concern for him, some reports misinterpreted it as the superstar removing Rajat from his film. Now, Rajat has broken his silence, setting the record straight once and for all.
“Salman bhai loves me, please stop spreading wrong information”
In a recent interview with Screen, Rajat dismissed all talk of any rift with the Sikandar actor. With folded hands, he looked into the camera and said, “Wrong information, all wrong information! Salman bhai loves me. Salman bhai has huge respect for me and my family. I’m from a third-generation film family. He loves my son also. I love Bhai. Please ye galat information spread karna band karo.”
“Bhai was looking out for me, not sidelining me”
Rajat went on to explain what really happened when Radhe came his way. “Bhai’s production company called me for Radhe. Bhai, in fact, was looking out for me. When he got to know konse role ke liye unki team ne mujhe bulaya hai, he said, ‘Tu ye role nahi karega beta. Main tujhe kuch badiya kaam dunga.’ Koi negativity nahi hai — bhai was looking after my interest. He wanted to protect me. So please galat information dena band karo.”
(When he found out his team had called me for that role, he said, ‘You won’t do this role, son. I’ll give you something better.’ There’s no negativity — Bhai was protecting me and my image. Please stop spreading misinformation.)Rajat concluded by emphasising that there has never been any strain between the two families. “Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan saab, have immense respect for my family, and we’ve always shared a warm bond,” he said.
