Punjabi singer-actor Rajvir Jawanda was put to rest today at his native village, Paon, Ludhiana. The 35-year-old artist, who lost his life due to multiple organ failure following the tragic mishap, was cremated today, and his son performed the last rites.

Rajvir Jawanda, who met with a bike accident on September 27 in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, was laid to rest today in a red turban. Several Punjabi celebrities, including Jasbir Jassi, Kulwinder Billa, Karamjit Amol, and others, came to pay their final respects. Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also attended the last rites.Further, fans gathered to pay tribute, bid adios to their beloved artist, and see him for one last time. Rajvir’s son performed the funeral rituals and gave mukhagni. Everyone was visibly emotional and folded their hands, paying their respects.

Before Rajvir’s demise, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited him at the hospital. He confirmed that the artist was admitted under critical conditions. CM Mann prayed for the artist’s speedy recovery.Following Rajvir’s last rites, Bhagwant Mann paid his final tribute via X (formerly Twitter), “Rajveer Jawanda, the esteemed artist of Punjabi mother tongue, passed away for a century last day, the loss is irreparable for the family and the music world. Today attended Rajveer Jawanda’s ancestral village Pona (Jagraon) and shared condolences with the family.”“May Waheguru give the departed soul a place in his feet and give strength to the family to accept the fate.
