YouTube star Darren “IShowSpeed” has launched a major IRL streaming journey across Africa. The tour will last 28 days and cover nearly 20 countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Egypt. The trip began in Angola, where Speed went live to share his travel experience, local culture, and fan interactions. Within hours, the stream attracted massive attention online. Nearly 85,000 viewers tuned in on day one, and several clips quickly went viral.
1) Sand art tribute surprises Speed
While visiting a beach in Angola, Speed noticed a sand sculpture inspired by one of his most famous memes. The artwork showed his well-known facial expression from a 2021 Fortnite stream moment linked to the “my mom is kinda homeless” meme. The local artist explained it was meant as a welcome gift. Speed looked shocked and stood next to the sculpture. He even recreated the same facial expression from the original moment, making fans online react instantly.
2) Speed plays football against 100 kids
About two hours into the stream, Speed visited a football field and accepted a fun challenge. He played a match against nearly 100 local children. Football is a big part of his online personality, and the scene perfectly matched his brand. A drone camera showed the full scale of the moment.

In another segment, a man challenged the creator to a pull-up contest. The clip amassed thousands of views. Speed tried his best but soon ran out of strength and lost. Speed’s love for racing strangers showed up again in Angola. He met a costumed local runner later nicknamed the “Angolan Flash.” They agreed to race. Speed took the lead early, but near the finish line, he accidentally collided with a member of his own crew. Both runners fell to the ground. Locals rushed in to help immediately. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and the moment still became viral.

Another highlight came when Speed joined a stunt driver for a drifting session on Angolan streets. The ride lasted only a few minutes, but it was intense. Speed screamed through most of it and clearly felt overwhelmed. When the drifting stopped, he praised the driver in Portuguese.
