‘Sarfira’ box office collection Day 4: Akshay Kumar starre sees drop in numbers on first Monday; earns just Rs 1.40 crore |

The Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sarfira‘ has experienced a significant drop in box office collections on its first Monday. According to Sacnilk.com, the film, which recorded a 3-day collection of approximately Rs 12.00 crore nett in India, managed to earn around an estimated Rs 1.40 crore nett on Monday, marking its lowest collection to date.
‘Sarfira’ opened with an estimated collection of Rs 2.5 crore on Friday, one of the lowest openings for an Akshay Kumar film.The movie saw a decent increase in earnings on Saturday, bringing in an estimated Rs 4.25 crore, and recorded its highest collection on Sunday with an estimated Rs 5.25 crore.
Despite the weekend growth, the total collection now stands at an estimated Rs 13.40 crore.Based on the life of Captain Gopinath, the pioneer of low-cost airline Air Deccan, ‘Sarfira’ is an official remake of the Suriya starrer ‘Soorarai Pottru.’ Both films are directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad. The Hindi version stars Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, Seema Biswas, and Suriya in key roles.
‘Sarfira’ has been facing stiff competition from the Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Indian 2,’ which scored an impressive Rs 59.15 crore collection in its debut weekend.
As ‘Sarfira’ continues its box office run, it will need to gain substantial traction to improve its overall performance amidst tough competition.
