The highly anticipated first glimpse of the live-action adaptation of ‘Street Fighter’ has dropped online, unveiling a power-packed cast led by Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji and Bollywood action star, Vidyut Jammwal. Vidyut, who makes his Hollywood debut in the iconic franchise, steps on-screen as the character, Dhalsim, one of the franchise’s most beloved fighters. His first look poster seeing him striking the character’s iconic pose has gone viral online. The official caption read, “Stretch beyond your limits. VIDYUT JAMMWAL is DHALSIM.”

The poster features him showing off his ripped physique, while rocking metal wrist and ankle cuffs. He features in a bald look with red markings, signature of his character’s traditional monk-inspired look.

The first-look character posters were released across social media, with Vidyut sharing a montage of the ensemble cast, which includes Callina Liang, Roman Reigns, David Dastmalchian, Cody Rhodes, Andrew Schulz, Eric André and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, among others. “In the company of warriors, I find my tribe,” Vidyut captioned the post.

‘Street Fighter’ synopsis

According to the official synopsis shared by Variety, the story follows estranged fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo), who are drawn back into the arena when the enigmatic Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament — a deadly battleground hiding a sinister conspiracy. As the fighters confront their past demons and each other, the stakes rise to a brutal showdown.

‘Street Fighter’ release date

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film is set for a global theatrical release on October 16, 2026.
