You can blame Shubman for the same, as he added a little fuel to the fire when Sonam Bajwa asked whether he was in a relationship with a ‘Sara,’ and the mastermind cheekily said, “Maybe…” Furthermore, Bajwa didn’t hesitate to ask him to tell her the truth by wordplay. “Sara ka sara sach bolo” (Tell the whole truth), she said. Shubman responded, “Sara da sara sach bol diya” (I’ve told the truth).

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Gill swiftly brushed off the rumours by stating that he laughs at the idea of dating anyone. The cricket denied the speculations of him dating Sara Tendulkar, Sara Ali Khan and even Avneet Kaur by expressing that their schedules are air-tight packed to even think about having a relationship.
“There have been so many rumours and speculations linking me with different people. And sometimes, it would be so ridiculous that I’ve never seen or met that person ever in my life,” Gill said.
“Right now, I’m so focused on what I need to do in my professional career. There’s no space in my life to be able to be with someone. Three hundred days, we’re on the road, travelling somewhere. So, there’s hardly any time to invest in a relationship with someone,” the 25-year-old added, marking the end of eyebrow-raising rumours.
When Sara Ali Khan denied the rumours
Not just Shubman, but Sara Ali Khan had denied the rumours before. In an interview with Koffee with Karan, when he asked about the alleged romance with the cricketer, Sara denied by stating, “You’ve got the wrong Sara, guys! Sara ka sara duniya galat Sara ke peechhe pada hai” (The whole world is after the wrong Sara), when the audience was chanting ‘Sara! Sara!’ during Shubman’s batting.
The speculations of Shubman Gill and Sara Tendulkar began when they were spotted together during the events, in addition to the pictures they snapped, which were allegedly at the same place at the same time, according to the fans.
