‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, the Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday-starrer, witnessed a noticeable drop in collections on its second day at the box office.

As per early estimates on sacnilk, the film earned aproximately Rs 5 crore net on Friday, after an average opening of Rs 7.75 on Thursday. The film opened to low numbers, despite enjoying a holiday release, on the festival of Christmas. With the Day 2 figures added, the film’s total box office collection now stands at approximately Rs 12.75 crore.

Meanwhile, the film’s gross all-India total has risen to an estimated Rs 15 crore. With an aditional Rs 2 crore coming in from overseas markets, the film’s total worldwide collections now stand at an estimated Rs 17.25 crore.
‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ vs ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’
The drop in earnings comes amid stiff competition from major releases currently dominating the ticket windows across the country. Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ continued its strong run, collecting an estimated Rs 15 crore on the same day, while Hollywood spectacle ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ earned around Rs 7.5 crore, outperforming Aaryan’s film. As per reports, while ‘Dhurandhar’ is dominating the Hindi sector, ‘Avatar’ is reigning over the English sectors.

‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ recorded an overall occupancy of 19.92% reflecting limited footfalls across theatres. While the numbers remain on the lower side, the film is still managing to hold some ground at the box office.
Kartik Aaryan’s highest earning films
For Kartik, the film will have to cross an earning of Rs 32.02 crore to beat ‘Shehzada’ and enter the list of the actor’s top 10 highest-grossing films at the box office. Currently, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ occupies the number 1 spot on the list of Kartik’s highest-earning films with a collection of Rs 260.11 crore. While the film was expected to open low at the box office, Kartik it was expected to be in the range of Kartik’s other releases. It must be noted that the actor scored double-digit openings only for his franchise films like ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. With the weekend ahead, all eyes are now on the box office to see whether the film can recover lost momentum and improve its collections on Saturday and Sunday.
