As speculation heats up around Deepika Padukone’s possible casting in the Vicky Kaushal-led ‘Mahavatar’, an old advertisement featuring the actress with the hunk, has resurfaced online. The clip shared by fans has once again sparked buzz about the two possibly playing love interests in the mythological epic. The 2018 commercial, originally shared by Vicky on his handle, is now doing the rounds with fans rediscovering their effortless on-screen chemistry. The two showed off their flirty side in the ad while promoting a hotel booking service.

Missed collaborations in the past
If Deepika officially signs on, it would mark her first-ever collaboration with Vicky. This is not the first time the two actors have been linked professionally. Kaushal was reportedly one of the names considered to play Maharawal Ratan Singh, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’. The role eventually went to Shahid Kapoor.Vicky was also said to be in contention for ‘Gehraiyaan’, where Deepika played one of the female leads. That film ultimately starred Siddhant Chaturvedi in the role Kaushal was rumoured to have been approached for.
