Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhavva’ gets UA certificate with 7 key modifications; set for a grand release on February 14 |

Date:

Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chhavva has been given a UA certificate with three strong disclaimers and a total of seven modifications.
An audio-text disclaimer states that the film is based on the novel written by Shivaji Sawant. It clarifies that the film does not intend to defame, demean, misrepresent, or distort any historical facts, nor does it seek to offend or undermine the sentiments of any individual or community. The film aims to pay tribute to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, highlighting his wisdom, valor, and lasting contribution to history.

Some sentences, such as ‘Khoon toh aakhri Mughalon ka’ by Aurangzeb, have been modified. Additionally, certain cuss words have been replaced.

The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 42 minutes and is set to release on February 14.

Vicky Kaushal, who is currently promoting his historical drama Chhaava, recently shared that after filming intense scenes, he prefers to remain silent rather than discuss them with his wife, Katrina Kaif. He believes that talking about these experiences might dilute their emotional impact. His family respects this need for space, allowing him to process his feelings privately.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film recently faced controversy after objections were raised over a lezim song featuring Sambhaji and Yesubai, which was later deleted by the filmmaker.
