Ahaan Panday has quickly become Bollywood’s newest buzzword with the release of his debut film, Saiyaara. Among the latest wave of star kids entering the industry, Ahaan is being widely seen as the next big thing. Carrying forward the legacy of his uncle Chunky Panday and cousin Ananya Panday, Ahaan seems poised to carve a distinct niche for himself in the Hindi film industry.
Ahaan: No where connected to Chunky Panday
Amid the growing excitement around his launch, an old statement from Ahaan has resurfaced online, stirring curiosity. Back in 2017, during an Instagram Live session, the then 19-year-old reportedly distanced himself from any association with Chunky Panday. According to SpotboyE, when asked about his uncle, Ahaan said, “It’s funny that my surname is Panday, but I’m no where connected to him. My dad is Aloke Sharad Panday, and that’s the only Panday connection I have. I have established myself in B-town through my popularity.” The comment raised eyebrows, considering his father, popularly known as Chikki Panday, is Chunky Panday’s younger brother—making Ahaan his nephew.
While it’s unclear whether the remark stemmed from a private family issue or a desire to assert independence, the Panday family appears united today. In fact, they have rallied around Ahaan with full force, both online and offline, to support his debut.
Kapoors and Khans, Pandays came out of syllabus
Chunky Panday recently posted an Instagram picture showing himself alongside Ananya and Ahaan while making a humorous statement about Bollywood family dynasties by writing, “In a world of Kapoors and Khans, Pandays came out of syllabus.” The veteran actor used his Instagram Story platform to post the picture while mocking the established Bollywood family traditions through his message.Saiyaara’s premiere event featured Chunky Panday attending with his wife Bhavana Panday by his side. When asked about the film by the paparazzi Chunky expressed his pride by saying “Very good, best. Blockbuster.” Ahaan’s extended family members including Ananya Panday, Deanne Panday, and Alanna Panday actively promote the film through social media posts with positive reviews and emotional messages. The Pandays have made maximum efforts to guarantee Ahaan’s debut receives outstanding success and the results indicate positive progress.
