In a throwback interview, Salman Khan had shared why he had no issues with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for not casting him in ‘Devdas’ even after collaborating on projects like ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. Salman Khan shares he was not upset for missing out on ‘Devdas’
In an old interview with Subhash K. Jha, when Salman Khan was asked if he was disappointed with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for missing out on ‘Devdas’, the actor said, “Not at all. I don’t want to play any character which can influence the young generation wrongly.”
During the interview, Salman Khan shared that his choices always depend on how his role would impact the audience. He had said, “In fact, my warning about Radhe (a character from ‘Tere Naam’) to the audience is, do not follow his wrong actions in life, but learn from his mistakes.”
Salman Khan on not doing ‘Baazigar ‘
The actor further shared that he always wants to do roles with a clean heart. Khan also shared, “There was a time when heroes gave their life for love. But most of the time when people kill themselves for love, it happens on the spur of the moment.”He said that if a person comes to such a moment, nothing can turn it back. And hence, the actor stated that he always avoided playing such roles. He said, “So yes, I won’t do roles that set the wrong example. I was offered Baazigar. I didn’t do it.”
