As Americans prepare to ring in the New Year, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced a series of arrests targeting undocumented immigrants with serious criminal convictions, carried out across multiple states over the past day. According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the arrests focused on individuals convicted of crimes including sexual assault of a minor, domestic violence, drug offences and human smuggling.“In President Trump’s first year in office, ICE law enforcement relentlessly targeted the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens across our country,” said a DHS Spokesperson. “Just yesterday ICE arrested domestic abusers, drug traffickers, and a monster who raped a child under 12-years-old.
