‘Saiyaara’ has been smashing records at the box office and is now officially a blockbuster. Starring debutant Ahaan Panday and actress Aneet Padda in the lead roles, the romantic drama has struck an emotional chord with audiences across the country. As the film continues to receive widespread acclaim, Karan Johar, who recently directed ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, has now shared that he’s inspired by Mohit Suri’s directorial to make more romantic films.Speaking to Suchin Mehrotra on Season 3 of The Streaming Show, the filmmaker said, “When I watched ‘Saiyaara’, I think after a long time I felt so inspired. I was like, I want to make a love story.” Johar further stated that mainstream actors are quite reluctant to take risks nowadays, saying, “I don’t think many mainstream actors want to take a chance today. I think the box office game has become too important. It’s become too big in all their collective heads.Karan Johar watched ‘Saiyaara’ soon after its release and was all praise for the film.
