PATNA: In a suspected case of gang rivalry, Bullet Patel, 36, a liquor smuggler, was shot dead in West Champaran district in Bihar, a dry state, reports Kshitiz. Morning walkers came upon Patel’s body in Bathna village on Sunday morning and notified police.
Amarkesh D, SP of West Champaran, said: “Patel was a resident of eastern Nautan locality under Bairiya police station.He was shot in the face and neck. During investigation, we found that Patel used to smuggle liquor from UP via the Gandak river and sold it in Bettiah. The killing seems to have taken place late in the night.”
