How Jake Dennis is faring in Formula E this season
Jake Dennis started the season on a high by winning the Round 1 race in Sao Paulo. He later proposed to longtime girlfriend Lexi Grace Boosey in the Alps and shared the news with a picture of her showing off the diamond on her finger.Dennis said after opening the 2026 season with a win in Sao Paulo, “We had a good strategy, a good race car, and good track position when we needed to. That first Attack Mode was crucial when we took it, and it looked like it was ours. We were comfortable in the lead just before the red flag, and then I wasn’t too sure how it was going to play out.”He added, “But I’m so happy. I didn’t get a win last season, so to get one in the first race is a testament to our offseason work. It’s the big boss’s birthday today, and it’s my engineer’s birthday tomorrow, so double whammy, I don’t have to get them a present now! It’s been a tough couple of seasons since Season 9, so to get the win is good.”The Andretti driver is currently eighth in the Formula E Drivers’ Standings with 39 points. He faced disappointment in Round 5 in Jeddah, where he couldn’t finish the race due to an untimely puncture. Sharing an update, he wrote on Instagram, “Picked up a puncture during yesterday’s race! Annoying, but we move on. The car’s quick, which is the main thing. Some weeks off before we go again in Madrid!”The next Formula E race is the Madrid E-Prix on March 21.Also read: Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich spend their break playing golf in Mexico, Andretti rookie jokes about being a “triple digit handicapper”
