Actress Alia Bhatt mourned the loss of legendary actor Dharmendra. The actress, took to her Instagram Stories to share an emotional tribute, posting a touching still from their film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
A special moment
The photo shows Alia and Dharmendra sharing a heartfelt moment on screen that became one of the film’s most cherished scenes. Alia penned the note, “A legend who lit up every frame… and every heart. You will be missed, Dharam ji ”The film still beautifully captures their bond, where Dharmendra played Kanwal Lund, the lovable and emotional grandfather, opposite Alia’s character, Rani.
Dharmendra’s health struggles
The ‘Sholay’ actor took ill early this month and was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for a check-up. After two days, he was discharged and continued treatment at home; however, despite reports stating that his condition was improving, news of his demise broke on Monday, November 24, that the actor passed away at the age of 89.
Dharmendra’s last rites
The veteran star last rites were performed at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle. His wife Hema Malini, sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, and daughters Esha, Ahana, Vijeta, and Ajeita were seen visibly emotional during the final rituals.

Many stars visited the Deol residence to offer condolences and support to the family.
