Bobby Deol, who continues to ride high on his Animal success, has opened up about his son Aryaman Deol’s much-speculated Bollywood debut. While Aryaman’s rare public appearances often grab attention for his striking looks and charm, Bobby insists there’s no hurry to launch him. Instead, the family is waiting for the right project — one that does justice to Aryaman’s potential. In a recent chat with ABP Live, Bobby said that Aryaman is still preparing for his big break and that patience is key in today’s fast-evolving industry.“I’m not launching him, but I’m waiting for someone who comes up with a great script for him. We’re waiting right now, and I’ve told my son to work hard on himself until then because the times have changed. When I started, you still got a few chances to prove yourself and get better,” he shared.
‘Today’s audience is ruthless and honest’
The Aashram actor pointed out that audiences today are far more discerning and unforgiving than they used to be.“Today’s audience is ruthless and honest. You get one chance — if they connect with you, great; if not, it’s over. That’s the reality now,” he said.Bobby also reflected on the double-edged privilege of being a star kid, noting that while lineage may open doors, it doesn’t guarantee success.“There are so many actors whose kids have come and not succeeded. Usually, it’s the outsiders who’ve made it. My father was an outsider, and I was blessed to be his son. But it’s your work that speaks for you eventually.”
On Karan and Rajveer Deol’s uphill battle
Drawing a comparison with his nephews Karan and Rajveer Deol — Sunny Deol’s sons — Bobby highlighted how even within the Deol family, success has never come easily.“It hasn’t been easy for my brother’s sons either. Just because they’re Sunny Deol’s sons and Dharmendra’s grandsons doesn’t mean their careers took off. They’ve had to work hard, and they’re still doing that.”As Aryaman continues to train and prepare behind the scenes, Bobby says his son must be ready to fight his own battles.“Every actor has to make his own journey. All I can do is guide him, but the rest is his fight,” Bobby concluded.
