Case against IPS man for ‘sexually exploiting’ woman | India News

NAGPUR: A 30-year-old IPS officer of 2021 batch, posted as sub-divisional police officer in Akkalkuwa in Nandurbar, was named in an FIR for rape, following a complaint by a 28-year-old woman doctor, reports Soumitra Bose.
The survivor, in her complaint, accused the officer of reneging on his promise to marry, citing her caste credentials apart from mental and physical torture. The officer was also named under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocity) Act.
