Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD crosses US $3 million mark for premiere shows in North America | Hindi Movie News

With less than 24 hours left for the release of Nag Ashwin’s futuristic mythological sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD, the film has created a mayhem at the North American ( USA and Canada) box office. The North American circuit has become one of the biggest markets for Indian films over the last few years since the release of Baahubali series, KGF franchise, Jawan and Animal among others.
Kalki 2898 AD, which is slated for release on 27th June across the globe, will have its premiere shows on 26th June.And fans just can’t wait to watch Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone on the big screen. The film has till now sold over 1 lakh tickets in the circuit for its premiere shows, amassing a massive US $3.05 million jump start. Out of the total amount, Kalki 2898 AD has earned US $2.77 million just from the United States of America by selling over 92000 tickets and the rest coming from the Canada locations. The highest premiere day collection in the USA still remains with SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s RRR with over US $3 million. It would be interesting to see if Kalki 2898 AD is able to cross that number with walk-ins to become an all time highest premiere day record.
The film also has guest appearances by Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Malvika Mohannan, Ram Gopal Varma and few more reportedly making guest appearances.
