Amidst this delicate situation, several actors came forward to condemn the media coverage around the Hindi cinema legend’s hospitalization. And now, Saif Ali Khan has reiterated the same.
Saif Ali Khan slams insensitive media coverage of Dharmendra’s hospitalization
While talking to News 24 Online, Saif Ali Khan compared the Dharmendra hospitalization situation with his own family’s condition when his father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was admitted to the hospital.He said, “We experienced a situation like this when Abba was in the hospital. We were constantly fobbing off unwanted attention while dealing with the crisis at hand.”
The actor expressed that the media swarming around made things more painful. He went on to add, “There should definitely be laws against such brutal violation of privacy.” Khan shared that there is a need to establish a framework to protect families during emergency situations.
Dharmendra’s hospitalization and recovery
After bringing the legendary actor home for his further treatment, the family released a statement urging everyone to respect their privacy. It read, “We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time.” The note concluded with, “Please respect him because he loves you.”

On the work front, Saif Ali Khan will next feature in ‘Haiwaan’, co-starring Akshay Kumar. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film is scheduled to hit cinemas next year. The actor also has ‘Jewel Thief: The Heist Continues’ in the pipeline. Also, if reports are to be believed, he will be coming to the ‘Race’ franchise with the fourth installment of the film. However, no official announcement has been made on the same.
